This strip is sold in 5m lengths only. Each 5 metre strip is supplied with a 300mm input cable to both ends.
You can cut the strip to length yourself (with scissors), to as small as every 3 LEDs (5cm).
Up to 5 metres of LED strip can be wired in series with the driver. Additional LED strips need to be connected in parallel (see the Diagram).

You need a LED 12 Volt Driver to power LED flexible strip. Each metre of this strip requires 4.8 watts, so choose a driver powerful enough to supply the total wattage required.

I purchased these to add uplighters to the top of my kitchen cabinets, to sit inside an extrusion with a frosted cover. Given that there were a number of corners to trace the strip around, I wanted something to avoid having to cut and solder multiple lengths of tape, or from adding connectors which might leave gaps in the light output. Although traditionally marketed as being suited for backlighting letters for signage, the tape has proved perfect for my needs and given the Epistar LEDs and 50,000 hour lifespan, will hopefully last significantly longer than the cheaper, anonymously branded tape out there. Bear in mind that, as with most LED installations of this type, you may want to to add an inline dimmer to your setup to control the output. These are still a little too bright for mood lighting, despite only being 4.8W per metre, but at least the option is there.
